The solid steel sheet construction of the MECHANIC R21562002 (offer price in the current IMPULSE promotion €986.51 including VAT) is torsionally rigid and extremely resilient. The six drawers (W 482 x D 345 mm) each have a load capacity of 25 kg. Due to the additional height of the two lower drawers, even larger tools can easily be accommodated. The drawers also all have a telescopic pull-out for further ease that allows full access to the contents. A higher level of safety is provided in use by the practical, concealed release bar, which prevents the drawers from opening unintentionally while in use. Two swivel castors (Ø 100 mm), one of them with a dead stop brake, and two laterally projecting castors (Ø 125 mm) offer a high level of stability and flexibility. The central locking feature by means of a cylinder lock also promotes the safety of the stored tools while not in use.

The 166-piece tool range in the MECHANIC by GEDORE red contains various sets of tools and other practical items.

Both the Ratchet with accessories 1/2" (R22150008) and the Socket set 1/4" (R22150006) include a fine-toothed 2C reversible ratchet, a universal joint and a sliding T-bar handle. The 1/2" ratchet also comes with two socket wrench extensions (125 and 250 mm), while the socket set 1/4" includes an extension (100 mm) and a square plug-in handle. This set is completed by hex socket wrench bits in key widths 4 to 13 mm, hex socket wrench bits 3 to 10, slotted 5.5 and 6.5; cross-slotted PH 1 2 3, PZ 1 2 and TX with bore T10 T15 T20 T25 T27 T30 and T40. A further Socket wrench set (R22150009) complements the hex socket wrench sets in key widths 10 to 32 and 1/2" hex screwdriver bits.

The Double ended ring spanner set (R22150000) is offset by 5°, and has thin-walled rings in key widths 6 to 22 mm. The Combination ratchet spanner set (R22250001) contains tools in key widths 8 to 22 mm. The ratchets, which are offset by 15°, can be switched from clockwise to anti-clockwise rotation, and the mouth position is also 15°. An cranked wrench key set 1.5 to 10 mm completes this set.

The Screwdriver sets with blades in high-quality chrome-molybdenum steel contain both slotted screwdrivers from 4 to 8 mm, cross-slotted PZ 1 2 (R22150014), screwdrivers T10 T15 T20 T25 T30 and T40 (R22150015).

The range also includes a Set of retaining ring pliers (R22150017) with external and internal retaining rings, straight and angled, in 19 to 60 mm. The Pliers set (R22150018) appeals for the strong, 7-way adjustable water pump pliers, the combination pliers and the bent nose telephone pliers, all with inductively hardened blades.

The Hammer and chisel set (R22150019) completes the range of equipment with an engineer's hammer 300 g, one flat and two cross-cut chisels, one drift and one pin punch, and a centre punch. The various MECHANIC sets are supplemented by further tools and accessories: a bit box 1/4" with drive adapter, locking pliers for clamping and gripping profile sections, round and flat stock; a utility knife with five spare blades, a 34-metre roller tape, and a half-round file. The digital measuring callipers with a large LCD display and (de)magnetiser for use when screwing or gripping items or for demagnetising tools for electronic devices, complete the 166-piece range.

The tools are all housed in two-tone foam modules. These ensure the contents are stored safely and clearly, and also act as a visual check to ensure all the components are in their right place in the GEDORE red MECHANIC Tool trolley or if anything is missing.
