Environmental Protection along the Value Chain
We attach great importance to ecological sustainability and environmental protection. Our ecological responsibility is firmly anchored in our corporate philosophy and characterises our daily actions. By using modern technologies and optimising our processes, we are constantly and sustainably reducing our energy consumption. We also ensure that resources are used sparingly in all areas of the company. Our product development is based on ecological criteria and, in line with our company promise ‘Tools for life’, we have always focussed on durable, repairable products. Through targeted measures such as the use of renewable energies and the reduction of emissions throughout our entire value chain, we are consistently endeavouring to reduce our CO2 footprint.

Ensuring clean drinking water and hygienic sanitation for everyone requires a significant improvement in water quality. As a manufacturing company, we therefore rely on wastewater-free electroplating through the use of a vacuum evaporator. Furthermore, we have succeeded in significantly reducing the use of water-polluting substances and only use substances of water hazard class 1 or better as cooling lubricants and lubricants in production.
The more companies that embrace renewable energy and utilise advanced and clean technologies, the sooner affordable, reliable and sustainable energy can be made possible for everyone. We are driving forward the gradual switch to LED lighting, are already heating some of our sites using heat pumps and solar energy and are preparing to connect to the ecological local heating supply at other German sites. Our bar turning plant is heated energy-efficiently with a heat pump and all waste heat is recovered from the exhaust air.
Sustainability has always been a priority for us. Our tools are also characterized by their extreme durability and quality, and are typically used for decades. Customers can also send tools to us for repair.
For this reason, we repair and calibrate torque wrenches from our production facilities, and even products over 40 years old regularly find their way back to us.

We are working on our ecological sustainability in many areas, such as the gradual reduction of water-polluting substances from production or the conversion of electroplating to the low-pollutant chrome III process. But we are also focussing on reducing CO2 emissions. We can already draw up a carbon footprint (Scopes 1-3) for our companies in the DACH region. Thanks to the 100% use of green electricity, we are emission-neutral in Scope 2 in the DACH region. In order to achieve further savings, we have, for example, installed a photovoltaic system at our site in Vaihingen an der Enz in addition to the existing heat pump system and decided to connect to the ecological local heating supply at the Donaueschingen site.
