Opening and closing gate valves can be a daily challenge for both personnel and equipment, depending on the facility's conditions. The gate valve machines of the LDA3-S series from GEDORE Torque Solutions are continuously developed and, in the latest development stage, LDA3-S, feature a robust 2-speed planetary gearbox for high breakaway torques. The 360° rotatable motor unit is powered by a strong power battery with 90 Wh/18 V/5 Ah and is gently shut off by proprietary microprocessor-controlled electronics to prevent sudden over-torquing. Additionally, the machines operate without a wear-prone slip clutch.
The technical features not only allow for the effortless opening of stuck gate valves but also enable the user to perform the tasks independently. Even handwheels with rising spindles are no problem.
