GEDORE Services for torque tools
All torque tools are manufactured at GEDORE under the strictest quality controls. To ensure that the precision and reliability of mechanical and electronic torque wrenches, torque multipliers and testing equipment are maintained over the long term, GEDORE offers professional calibration, repair and testing of sensitive measuring equipment in its own DAkkS laboratory or service department.
How often should a Torque Spanner be calibrated?
Torque wrenches, torque multipliers, testing devices and other torque tools are subject to mechanical stress with sometimes very high forces, which result in corresponding wear. According to DKD-R 3-7:2018, the guideline for static calibration of
indicating torque wrenches (electronic torque wrenches, ET2SA, ETQ, TT3), we recommend a
test interval of 26 months. This also applies to DKD-R 10-8:2018, the guideline for the static calibration of calibration devices for
torque wrenches (electronic testers, ETP, DTE, CAPTURE). According to DIN EN ISO 6789-2:2017 for
manually operated torque tools (torque spanners), we recommend either a
service life of 12 months or the completion of 5,000 load cycles as the default value for the interval.
