GEDORE red Pullers

Sometimes a component is so firmly seated that it cannot be removed by hand or with a conventional tool. This is exactly when a puller is the right tool: It applies force in a targeted and controlled manner without damaging the shaft or tilting the component. GEDORE red offers a robust two-arm puller for use in your own workshop and for ambitious DIY projects.

Remove Components with 1 t of Force

Whether it is a bearing on a bicycle, a pulley on a lawn mower or a seized component on a machine tool: Whenever something needs to be removed from a shaft or bolt and cannot simply be pulled off, the GEDORE red R17151000 puller is the right choice.

The two-arm puller with clamping bow is made of chrome-vanadium steel and is designed for pulling forces of up to 1 tonne. The maximum span is 90 mm, while the usable reach is 100 mm. This makes it suitable for the most common removal tasks in the home, bicycle workshop, garden equipment and light mechanical engineering.

The integrated clamping bow is the key feature: It actively presses the hooks behind the component to be removed and prevents them from slipping under load. This makes the puller safer to use while also protecting the surface of the component. The spindle is operated via a 17 mm hexagonal drive and can be easily operated with a suitable wrench.

Answers to the Most Frequently Asked Questions

A puller is needed whenever a component is firmly seated on a shaft, pin or inside a bore and cannot be removed by hand or with a simple tool. Typical applications include removing bearings, pulleys, gears, hubs or sprockets. Without a puller, improper application of force could damage the component or shaft.

The R17151000 is suitable for removing components with an outer diameter of up to 90 mm and an installation depth of up to 100 mm. This covers many typical DIY and workshop applications, such as bearings on bicycles or household appliances, pulleys on garden equipment, or small gears and hubs in electrical workshops or on motorcycles.

The clamping bow actively presses the two hooks behind the component to be removed and prevents them from slipping outwards under load. This increases safety during removal and ensures that the force is transferred evenly to the component without tilting or damaging it. The clamping bow is particularly advantageous when working with smooth or short gripping edges.

No. The GEDORE red R17151000 is designed for pulling components off, meaning it is intended to apply pulling force to a component. Other tools are required for pressing in bearings or bushes, such as a bearing installation tool or a press-fit aid. Using a puller for pressing in components can damage the tool and lead to an uncontrolled build-up of force.

For most DIY applications and light workshop tasks, a two-arm puller such as the R17151000 is sufficient. A three-arm puller distributes the force across more points and is useful when the component is not rotationally symmetrical, is very large or needs to be removed with particularly even force. For industrial applications involving high forces, GEDORE offers three-arm and hydraulic pullers.
