Strap Wrenches for Industrial Applications
Anyone who regularly works on pumps, valves, pipework or filter housings knows the problem: Round or smooth components do not provide conventional wrenches with sufficient grip. A strap wrench solves this problem reliably without damaging the surface. This is crucial wherever components made of sensitive materials or with treated surfaces must not be scratched.
The flexible strap also enables use in confined installation spaces where rigid tools cannot be positioned. A good strap wrench is part of the standard equipment in industrial maintenance, plant engineering and automotive technology.
The GEDORE Range of Strap Wrenches and Accessories
The 36 strap wrench is equipped with a 25 mm-wide, non-slip webbing strap (E-36) and made of chrome-plated C45 carbon steel. It is available in two versions: the 36 1-140 for diameters of up to 140 mm and the 36 2-200 for diameters of up to 200 mm. The 36 Z specialist strap wrench is available for applications where the strap needs to be positioned at an acute angle.
For oil filter replacement, GEDORE offers two universal filter wrenches: The 37 features an adjustable, nickel-plated metal strap and an operating handle. The 37 V has the same design but features a 1/2" square drive, allowing it to be used with a ratchet or extension. Both cover diameters from 80 to 110 mm and are therefore suitable for the most common oil filter sizes.
Replacement parts are also available separately: E-36 1-140 for the 36 1-140, E-36 2-200 for the 36 2-200 and E-36 Z-140 as a replacement for the 36 Z specialist strap wrench. This makes it easy to restore the tool after intensive use without having to replace the entire wrench.
