Heavy Duty
Heavy-Duty Tools for the Toughest Applications in Commercial Vehicle, Construction and Agricultural Machinery
In the heavy-duty sector, tools are exposed to extreme loads caused by dirt, moisture and high forces. Anyone working on heavy-duty drive systems needs tools with intelligent force transmission and an absolutely precise fit. GEDORE develops solutions that address exactly where mechanical durability and occupational safety come together. From ergonomic profiles that prevent bolt heads from being rounded to mobile powerhouses for outdoor use, we provide the foundation for uncompromising performance in the field and in the workshop.
Controlled Torque Tightening for Heavy Machinery
Wheel bolts on trucks and tractors or flange connections on heavy construction machinery require torque values far beyond those used for passenger cars. The challenge is clear: too much force damages the thread, while too little jeopardises operational safety. The solution lies in heavy-duty torque wrenches such as the GEDORE DREMOMETER series. They enable precise, controlled tightening in the heavy-load range and are simultaneously lightweight and protected against external influences thanks to their unique one-piece aluminium housing.
XL combination wrenches combined with material-protecting UNITRIVE profiles transfer force evenly across the bolt profile, even with large wrench sizes. This protects the material against deformation and ensures that even seized connections can be loosened without damaging the components.
Heavy-Duty High-Torque Tightening up to 8,000 Nm
For extreme mechanical loads on construction machinery, such as slewing ring connections, crawler undercarriages or the wheel hubs of large mining trucks, the GEDORE LDA3 and LDA3 Solution Core high-torque cordless tools offer a powerful, cordless solution with up to 8,000 Nm of torque. By eliminating hydraulic hoses, they provide maximum mobility in rough terrain, while the motor unit, which can be rotated through 360°, enables ergonomic work on hard-to-reach booms.
When loosening rusted suspension bolts, the brushless motor delivers consistent breakaway torque, while the transreflective display of the Solution version remains perfectly legible even in strong sunlight. For the precise assembly of highly loaded transmission flanges, the electronic shut-off with automatic relaxation function ensures maximum process reliability and effortless release of the reaction arm.
The Solution Core microprocessor control also digitally records every torque-and-angle tightening operation. This eliminates human error and enables complete documentation of safety-relevant components.
Pullers That Prove Their Worth in Practice
When bearings, gears or hub components have been operating under continuous load for years, they are often practically welded in place. Our mechanical and hydraulic pullers can handle loads of up to 15 tonnes. The combination of specially tempered crossbars, forged components and a special geometry makes all the difference.
The modular truck and agricultural machinery system builds up to 10 tonnes of pressure precisely where it is needed—hydraulically and without impact loads. This protects the expensive shafts and housings of commercial vehicles and significantly reduces the risk of accidents in the workshop. Time-consuming repairs when repairing agricultural machinery can thus be reduced from hours to just a few minutes.
Your Workplace on Wheels
A truck on a lifting platform or a tractor in the workshop requires long walks if the tools are not located directly next to the vehicle. Efficiency in commercial vehicle technology therefore means making the entire workplace mobile.
Workbenches such as the GEDORE 1504 XL offer a static load capacity of up to one tonne. They serve not only as mobile storage for heavy-duty 3/4" and 1" socket sets, but also as an extremely robust workbench directly next to the drive unit.
As an all-in-one solution, we equip the 1504 XL directly with a 306-piece or 198-piece agricultural/commercial vehicle assortment. Combined with vehicle-specific specialist tools from GEDORE Automotive, such as suspension bush tools and ball-joint separators, every suspension repair becomes a standardised, safe and fast process.

Answers to the Most Frequently Asked Questions
When working on trucks, buses and agricultural machinery, extreme forces quickly push both tools and users to their limits. The material, manufacturing processes and, of course, the appropriately large drive sizes, torque ranges and tensile forces are therefore extremely important.
We select our materials with great care and rely on the many years of experience of our employees in manufacturing. We also combine traditional forging with modern manufacturing processes to ensure that your tools are tough, robust and precisely manufactured to standard.
Mechanical impact can often cause hairline cracks in shafts or housings when components are seized due to rust. Hydraulic pullers can provide the solution for agricultural machinery repairs. Their even pressure allows even extremely seized bearings, gears and hub components to be removed from the shaft in a way that protects the material and without the risk of slipping.
Wheel bolts and suspension components require absolute precision in the upper torque range. The GEDORE DREMOMETER, such as type E or EK, is suitable for this application. It covers a measuring range from 600 to 1,500 Nm.
Its technical speciality is the unique lever chain system inside, which reduces wear to a minimum. The DREMOMETER is also independent of length. This means that even if the operator uses an extension tube to reduce physical effort, the release value remains precisely the same, with an accuracy of ±3% in accordance with DIN EN ISO 6789.
Specific solutions from GEDORE and GEDORE Automotive, such as hydraulic suspension bush tools, enable a standardised workflow directly on the vehicle. With a 17-tonne hydraulic component, suspension bushes, ball joints and steering knuckle pins can be removed and pressed in directly on the truck.
The time-consuming removal of the complete axle is no longer necessary. This can reduce repair time by up to 60% and ensure maximum operational reliability on the construction site.
