Acting Responsibly
Compliance with the laws, regulations and recognised ethical standards of the cultures in which we operate is a fundamental principle of responsible business conduct for us. The individual companies within the GEDORE Group comply with applicable national and international laws and regulations, minimum industry standards, ILO and UN conventions, as well as other relevant standards. At our sites in Germany, we fulfil our legal obligations, among other things, by implementing the “Recht im Betrieb” compliance management system developed by the law firm Dr. Rack.
Compliance with these requirements strengthens our corporate ethics and, in turn, the trust of our employees, business partners, local authorities and other stakeholders.
Our compliance measures are designed not only to meet legal requirements, but also to promote ethical business practices. They are based on a holistic approach and encompass all areas of the business.
The Three Pillars of GEDORE’s Compliance Strategy
Legal Compliance
Compliance with national and international laws and industry-specific regulations forms the basis of our business activities. This includes identifying legal requirements at an early stage, aligning internal processes accordingly and continuously reviewing their implementation. In this way, we create the foundation for reliable decision-making and responsible conduct across all areas of the business.
Internal Policies
Clear internal policies help our employees act confidently and responsibly in their day-to-day work. To this end, we develop and implement codes of conduct and compliance policies that provide guidance and establish binding standards. They help us identify risks at an early stage, make decisions transparently and strengthen a shared understanding of integrity throughout the company.
Reporting Systems
Confidential and accessible reporting systems are an integral part of our compliance structure. Appropriate reporting channels allow potential breaches of compliance policies or other relevant observations to be reported anonymously. This provides the basis for carefully reviewing every report and responding to it appropriately.
