Combining Ecology and Economy

GEDORE has set itself the goal of combining entrepreneurial action with social and ecological responsibility. Since April 2022, the Remscheid-based tool manufacturer has therefore been participating in the ECOPROFIT project. The cooperation project is supported by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the major Bergisch cities and their economic development agencies, the Wuppertal, Remscheid, Solingen Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Bergisches Städtedreieck Regional Agency. 137 companies in the Bergisches Städtedreieck have gone through this project over the past 12 years.

The companies were trained in workshops on a wide range of environmental and resource protection topics. At the end of the project, an environmental programme was identified and compiles measures suitable for the company that lead to verifiable improvements and savings in resources and costs.

After a final examination and certification, the successful participants received the award as an ECOPROFIT company at a festive closing event in October 2023.
