Maximum flexibility combined with the highest possible level of organisation is essential for mobile service work and construction sites. Sortimo’s WorkMo and BOXX concepts combine transport, organisation and work in ergonomic, modular units. All components are compatible with one another and across the entire system. For example, the WorkMo B2 tool unit includes a compartment for an L-BOXX.
WorkMo® – Transport, Organise and Work
WorkMo stands for “Work Mobility” and covers the entire workflow of mobile skilled-trade work. At the company, it serves as a stationary storage rack; in a service vehicle, it can be secured as a load-securing system; and directly at the place of use, it transforms into a mobile workshop trolley or a stable workbench. This means that tools and consumables never need to be reloaded.
The system is based on an intelligent modular principle made from a lightweight yet robust aluminium-plastic mix:
- Functional modules: The foundation consists of stackable modules in different heights and widths: B2 (width: 526 mm) and B3 (width: 789 mm).
- Interior: The modules can be individually equipped with drawers, shelves or pull-outs for L-BOXXes and i-BOXXes.
- Extensions: Coupling levers allow the modules to be connected without tools. Accessories such as a wooden worktop, castor plates, tool holders and power distributors transform the system into a self-sufficient workstation.
- Tool equipment: Matching GEDORE foam inserts with or without tools are available and can be inserted or exchanged easily and flexibly.
GEDORE BOXX®es – Modular System Based on the “MIXX & CLICK” Principle
Our cooperation with Sortimo combines the market-leading transport system with premium hand tools. Under the name MIXX & CLICK, this creates a perfectly coordinated system in which Sortimo case solutions are equipped directly at the factory with our precisely fitting professional tool assortments. This gives you a complete mobile work solution that can withstand demanding use on construction sites as well as in industry and service applications. You no longer need to assemble your tool case manually, and your work equipment remains protected during transport.
The system consists of two perfectly interlocking components:
- The outer shell: The foundation is usually formed by the robust GEDORE L-BOXX 136 or the smaller i-BOXX 72. These are made of impact-resistant ABS plastic, are splash-proof and feature the characteristic Easy-Click system for stacking and connecting several cases.
- The interior: The premium tools are stored in two-colour foam inserts, known as Check-Tool modules. Thanks to the contrasting blue and black colours, you can immediately see which tool is missing through a visual completeness check. Empty BOXXes can be retrofitted with matching CT modules, either empty or equipped with tool assortments.

WorkMo and BOXXes are compatible with foam inserts from the GEDORE Check-Tool series. Thanks to the Check-Tool inserts, forgotten tools on the construction site are a thing of the past. Every item has its own fixed, non-slip place. The precisely fitted inserts also prevent expensive ratchets, keys or pliers from knocking against one another and becoming damaged during transport.
100% System Compatibility
As they are original Sortimo L-BOXXes, GEDORE cases fit seamlessly into Sortimo Globelyst or SR5 vehicle equipment as well as into the WorkMo system. GEDORE L-BOXXes can be connected via the click mechanism to L-BOXXes from other manufacturers, such as Bosch or fischer, and transported as a tower. Additional accessories such as rollers, skids and work surfaces complete the concept.

These are two-colour, precisely fitted foam inserts. When a tool is in its place, only the black foam is visible. If a tool is missing, the bright blue or red base becomes visible in that position. This allows you to check immediately that everything is complete before leaving the construction site.
An L-BOXX is the classic, opaque tool case made of impact-resistant ABS plastic for machines and hand tools. The i-BOXX is a smaller, drawer-like box that can either be carried individually or inserted like a drawer into larger L-BOXXes.
Yes. The L-BOXX is a cross-manufacturer standard. This means that our GEDORE L-BOXX uses exactly the same click mechanism, the Easy-Click system, as an L-BOXX from Bosch, fischer, Förch or Wiha. You can easily click cases from different brands together to form a tower and transport them together.
Yes, the system is extremely robust. If you equip the modules with the original wooden multiplex worktop and set them up securely, you get a fully functional mobile workbench. The modules absorb vibrations effectively and are designed for demanding everyday use on construction sites.
Yes, in principle, the mobile workstation can be transported in almost any estate car, SUV or van. Since the system consists of freestanding modules, compatibility depends only on the external dimensions of the selected module and the height of your boot.
