Social Responsibility

With People for People

For GEDORE, social sustainability means working for the well-being of our employees, creating fair working conditions and supporting the local community in our companies around the world. This is reflected in measures such as further training opportunities, health promotion in the workplace and social commitment, even beyond our region.

Icon no poverty

We want to make our contribution to combating poverty at all of our international locations. To this end, we create and maintain fair jobs and working conditions for all employees at our plants and sales companies.

To provide security in old age, we offer a company pension scheme and corresponding counselling services.

Health and well-being icon
GEDORE supports all employees and works with them to develop a health-promoting environment. We maintain projects for workplace health promotion and ergonomic improvements in the office and production and have established a company health management system including addiction prevention. We help to shape the working environment at GEDORE and thus contribute to a health-promoting and positive working atmosphere.
Icon High-quality education
We attach great importance to training young adults in industrial and commercial professions. Access to high-quality technical and vocational training is a matter of course. New colleagues receive a competent and structured induction programme. Experienced employees are also available to them as mentors.
Gender equality icon
Equal conditions for all employees, regardless of gender and gender identity, are a matter of course for us. We treat all colleagues with empathy and respect and recognise the individuality of each and every employee.
Icon sustainable cities and municipalities
GEDORE strengthens the regional economy through its one hundred per cent commitment to production locations close to the market. This goes hand in hand with a responsibility to promote sustainable cities and communities. Climate protection measures, such as a recycling rate of 100% for scrap metal and scrap as well as investments in existing buildings instead of new buildings, promote sustainability by combining economic, social and ecological goals.
Icon Peace, justice and strong institutions
We are committed nationally and internationally to peace, justice and strong institutions through donations and memberships in charitable organisations. For us, a peaceful, just society begins on our own doorstep. Helping the victims of natural disasters, such as the great flood in Brazil in 2024, is therefore a matter of course.
