Sustainability

For GEDORE, sustainability is not an add-on but part of a responsible approach to products. Key factors are robust, long-lasting products, precision workmanship and the responsible use of resources. Sustainability is therefore not described in abstract terms, but made visible through the practical benefits of our tools.

From tradition towards a better future

GEDORE has stood for tradition and sustainability for more than 100 years. As a fourth-generation family business, we attach great importance to sustainable corporate management. For us, sustainability means more than social and environmental action; it also means economic strength. We run our company with future generations in mind by making environmentally conscious decisions and using resources efficiently. This enables us to remain successful in the long term while making a positive contribution to the environment.

Together for better: alliances for sustainability

Sustainability cannot be achieved alone. GEDORE relies on partnerships, industry initiatives and international alliances that deliver measurable impact. As a member of relevant sustainability networks, the GEDORE Group consistently aligns its processes, supply chains and production standards with jointly defined targets. Dialogue with partners, customers and industry broadens our perspective and strengthens implementation.

Certificates: sustainability that can be measured

Responsible action requires evidence. GEDORE focuses on certified measures that can be audited both internally and externally. From environmental management systems to social standards, the GEDORE Group documents its sustainability performance transparently and in accordance with recognised standards. This builds trust among customers, partners and employees worldwide.

Our sustainability policy

The GEDORE Group’s sustainability policy provides the framework for all decisions, from product development to the supply chain.

Five areas of responsibility set the direction:

  • Environmental responsibility: conserve resources, reduce emissions and promote the circular economy
  • Energy responsibility: increase energy efficiency and consistently expand the use of renewable energies
  • Social responsibility: ensure fair working conditions, equal opportunities and social engagement
  • Economic responsibility: focus on long-term stability rather than short-term profit maximisation
  • Quality responsibility: develop products that last and thereby conserve resources

CO2 footprint for the DACH region

Transparency begins with figures. GEDORE regularly records and publishes the CO2 footprint for the DACH region as a basis for targeted reduction measures and as a signal to partners and customers: climate responsibility is not a promise at GEDORE, but a measurable process.

The footprint covers production sites, logistics and administrative areas.

Environmental responsibility: acting before it becomes necessary

For a tool manufacturer with a global footprint, environmental responsibility is not an option; it is an obligation. GEDORE reduces emissions across the entire value chain, optimises packaging and focuses on long-lasting products that conserve resources. Tools that remain in use for decades are the most sustainable contribution a manufacturer can make.
